When networking for a new position, it is important to start with a comprehensive list of everyone in your desired field. For example if you’re Black, think of Blacks first, because of the cultural and sociological connection, but don’t limit it to any one group. Use professional directories, newspaper clippings and specialized publications for leads to people in your field.
